Volunteers server many different roles at Night to Shine. Here are some of them:
Buddy: Accompany an Honored Guest. Will help make sure they get their dinner and accompanys them to the various areas of the event. (Must be 18 years of age).
Make-up/Shoe Shine: These volunteers assist the females with their make-up and will shine the shoes of the males.
Parent Dinner: Parent Dinner is a dinner for the parents of the Honored Guests. Volunteers help to make sure the parents have an enjoyable evening.
Sensory Room: Volunteers stay in the sensory room and assist Honored Guests who may come to the sensory room for a few minutes of quiet or calmness. There may be service or support animals in this area.
Parking Attendants: Help to make sure the parking is managed.
Food/Drink Distribution: These volunteers hand out the donated dinner and drinks to the Honored Guests and their buddies.
Registration: Help register Honored Guests when they arrive
Flowers/Crowns/Tiaras: Make sure all Honored Guests receive flowers at arrival, and crowns/tiaras at the appropriate time during the dance.
